I T I N E R A R Y
10 OCT DEPART USA Our pilgrimage begins as we depart on our transatlantic flight to Lisbon, Portugal. Enjoy dinner and breakfast on board your overnight flight. 11 OCT LISBON - SANTAREM - FATIMA (D) Arrive Lisbon. Transfer to Santarem, one of the oldest cities in the world. We will visit the Church of St. Stephen with the oldest recorded Eucharistic Miracle (in display since 1929). Continue then to Fatima. Dinner and overnight. 12 OCT FATIMA ( B & D) Fatima is the place where the Blessed Mother appeared in 1917 to 3 children and asked mankind to pray for world peace. You will visit the Basilica, the site where Francisco, Jacinta, and Lucia's graves are located, the hamlet of Aljustrel where the children lived, and Valinhos, the Site of Our Lady's apparition after the children's return from prison. Follow the Stations of the Cross along "the Sacred Way" culminating in the Chapel of Calvary, which overlooks Fatima. In the evening, join pilgrims from around the world in an evening candlelight procession to pray the rosary (requested by Our Lady). 13 OCT FATIMA (ANNIVERSARY) (B & D) Participate in all the activities concerning Fatima's Anniversary. 14 OCT FATIMA - PONTEVEDRA - SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA (B & D) Depart for Pontevedra in the morning. Visit the Convent of the Apparitions, where Sister Lucia received the message of the Heart of Mary. Celebrate Holy Mass and continue to Santiago de Compostela. Dinner and overnight. 15 OCT SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA (B & D) We will visit the Cathedral of St. James and enjoy a tour of the city. 16 OCT SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA - LEON - SANTANDER (B & D) Depart in the morning following "St. James' Path" to Leon. Brief stop to visit the Cathedral. Continue on to Santander. Dinner and overnight. 17 OCT SANTANDER - LOURDES (B & D) Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Santander. Continue on to Lourdes. 18 OCT LOURDES (B & D) Visit the Basilica, the Mill where St. Bernadette was born, the "Cachot" an abandoned prison where St. Bernadette lived, and all other places of interest related to the life of St. Bernadette. Participate in the religious activities of the Basilica and the healing baths. 19 OCT LOURDES - PARIS (B & D) Early morning transfer to the airport to take a flight to Paris. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal. View the incorrupt body of St. Catherine Labouret. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Paris, including the Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacre Couer, the Eiffel Tower, L'Arc de Triomphe, and the Champs Elysses. Dinner and overnight in Paris. 20 OCT NEVERS (B & D) Leave by motor coach for Nevers by way of the Loire Valley, where we will see the incorrupt body of St. Bernadette at the convent of St. Gildard, miraculously preserved since her death in 1879. Return to Paris in the evening for dinner and overnight. 21 OCT LISIEUX (B & D) After breakfast, we travel by motor coach to the town of Lisieux, the home of St. Therese whom Pope Pius X called "the greatest saint of modern times". We will visit the Basilica of St. Peter, and Les buissonets, her family home. Return to Paris. 22 OCT PARIS - USA (B) Morning transfer to the airport to catch our return flight home.
